What is Beyond the Athlete?

Beyond the Athlete is a coaching and education company whose mission focuses on empowering athletes to discover fulfillment, identity, and purpose after competitive sports. We encourage normalizing life beyond being an athlete, and help clients apply the strengths cultivated from athletics into the next chapter of their lives, fostering growth and transformation

FAQs

  • Our offerings are built to be flexible, scalable, and aligned with the level of support your institution wants to provide. Packages typically range from $300 to $8,000, depending on your goals, group size, and preferred format.

Here’s a breakdown of our most common options:

    • Institution-wide course access: $75 per athlete (minimum 5 enrollments)

    • Group mentorship: $300 per student (minimum 4 students)

    • Live webinars and virtual workshops: Starting at $500

    • Multi-day in-person intensives: Starting at $5,000

We understand that cost is often the biggest hurdle when it comes to offering holistic support to athletes. That’s exactly why we offer a range of entry points. Whether you’re looking to start small or build something more comprehensive, we’ll work with you to create a plan that fits your athletes, your goals, and your budget.

  • You can expect your athletes walk away with stronger self-awareness, improved confidence, and clearer direction after sport.

Depending on the services, they’ll learn how to manage their time, energy, and identity without relying on competition to define them. Programs also support overall mental wellness, leadership growth, and smoother post-grad transitions.

  • Career services prepare athletes for a job. We prepare them for life.

Supporting only their career path is today’s version of only caring about their performance on the field. It’s incomplete.

We focus on the whole athlete: the identity shifts, emotional ups and downs, and the structure they need once the routine of sport disappears. With a background as board-certified nurse coaches and registered nurses, our work blends life readiness, self-reflection, and holistic support to help athletes transition fully, not just professionally.

  • Because 98% of college athletes don’t go pro. And within six months of graduating, over 33% report symptoms of depression. (NCAA data)

What we’ve seen is that career prep is prioritized, but life prep is often left out.

Without structured offboarding, schools risk athlete disengagement, missed mental health support, and lost long-term connection with alumni.

This is about more than career readiness. It’s about helping athletes feel ready for life.
